Every year Welsh Football Magazine has a competition to find the best football programme in Wales. Last year our programme came first in the ‘Other Leagues’ category and was awarded seventh place in the Best in Wales rankings. The judge of the competition, Dave Collins, the editor of Welsh Football Magazine described our programme as follows “I saw some good ‘one-offs’ but of the regular issuers that came my way, those I especially liked (was) the weighty labour of love from Pontyclun.”
The final Best In Wales ranking for 2013-2014 was:
- Bala Town
- Port Talbot Town
- Airbus UK Broughton
- Cefn Druids
- Barry Town
- The New saints
- Pontyclun
- Abertillery Excelsiors
- Llanelli Town
- Briton Ferry
Of those clubs who were placed above us, five of the six are League of Wales clubs whilst the other, Barry Town, have a much bigger fan base than ourselves. Our target for this season is to try and make the top five of this competition so if anyone has any material they would like to include or ideas for articles then please get in touch.
